Adaptive Enterprises LLC provides assistive technology evaluations and one-on-one training in Indiana, for adults and for students moving into college, trade school or work.
Who we are
We are a small team of evaluators and trainers who work with technology and with people who have disabilities. We meet a person where they work or study, learn how their disability affects the tasks in front of them, and build the technology skills that fit.
Our work usually comes through Indiana Vocational Rehabilitation Services counselors, and we also speak with consumers and families directly.
What we do
Document what the person needs
We describe, in writing and with evidence, how a disability limits the tasks of school or work, and how a particular tool addresses each limit.
Evaluate assistive technology
An evaluator interviews the person, reads the available records, and tries real tools with them, on their own computer and phone where possible.
Train the person to use it
A trainer works one-on-one, at a pace set by the person, in the places where the technology will actually be used.
